### 外国驾照需要转换吗？

1. 外国人初到新加坡 12 个月以内，可以直接使用外国驾照上路，超过 12 个月，必须转换为本地驾照
2. 如果外国人是工作需要驾车，则需要在 6 个月以内转换为本地驾照
3. 新 PR 或公民，在身份转换的 3 个月内，还可以使用外国驾照，之后必须转换
4. 新 PR 或公民，如果之前持有 FIN 身份获取的本地驾照，需要转换为 NRIC 身份的新驾照

### 外国驾照转换为新加坡驾照

转换条件：

* 持有有效外国驾照，并通过新加坡驾照基本理论考试（Basic Theory Test，BTT)
* 只有来新加坡（第一次获取长期准证）之前拿到的外国驾照，才可以转换为新加坡驾照
* 如果来新加坡（第一次获取长期准证）之后，失去（舍去、到期）长期准证超过一年，新取得的外国驾照，才能转换。例如学生签到期后，回国待了半年，期间考了驾照，又工作签证回到新加坡，此时的驾照不可以转换，得重新考。
